  1. I am drafting an extended verion of the HTML standard and would
  2. like to know if anyone is using the <BLOCKQUOTE> element for quoted
  3. paragraphs. This element has a name greater than 8 characters
  4. which could cause problems with some SGML parsers.

  6. Would anyone object if we changed the tag name to "QUOTE" ?
